Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that he will resign from the post of Deputy Speaker next Tuesday (19).
He says he is taking this decision with the aim of strengthening the message that people are giving to the government.
Accordingly, the Member of Parliament stated that he will resign from the post of Deputy Speaker as soon as the Parliament convenes on the 19th.
Thereafter Parliament will reconvene on the 4th of next month.
