Ranjan loses parliamentary seat, Ajith Mannapperuma next in line.

Jailed Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Ranjan Ramanayake ceased to hold his parliamentary seat following legal clearance regarding the matter, an official said.Secretary General of Parliament Dammika Dasanayake informed the Election Commission in writing in this regard. SJB member Ajith Mannapperuma will be sworn in place of MP Ramanayake who is now serving a jail term for being convicted of contempt of court.
