The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) today announced that it is taking all possible measures to prevent power outages during the GCE Advanced Level examination.
Accordingly, the Ceylon Electricity Board has decided not to disconnect the power supply during the examination hours which will be held today from 08.30 am to 11.30 am and from 01.30 pm to 04.30 pm.
The decision was taken following a request made by the Secretary to the Ministry of Education and the Commissioner-General of Examinations.
Commenting on this, Janaka Ratnayake, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said that the power supply will be cut off from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm today.
Accordingly, the power will be cut off for two hours from 4.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
