    Access to public places is denied for those who did not take the Booster vaccine

    A gazette notification has been issued to deny access to public places to those who have not been fully vaccinated with effect from April 30, 2022.

    It is issued under the Quarantine and Prevention of Disease Ordinance.

    The relevant gazette notification states that a person should not enter any public place without evidence to prove that a complete vaccination has been done.

    For the purposes of this regulation “fully vaccinated ” means that the relevant person has obtained the required doses of the relevant vaccination as specified by the Director-General of Health Services.

    That is, Having completed the first, second, and third doses in a relevant manner for each age group is defined as a “complete vaccination” by the Director-General of Health Services.

    “Public place” means any place or a mode of transportation used in public transport to which the public have access, whether as of right or otherwise, whether on payment or not, whether on invitation or not.”
