152 children infected with the COVID virus are receiving treatment at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital in Colombo, said Prof. Channa Jayasumana, Minister of State for Drug Supply and Regulation today (12).
The Minister of State said that with the spread of the Delta virus, the incidence of children becoming ill is on the rise.
He also said that a system has been introduced to treat sick children between the ages of 2 and 14 at home.
