Dr. Priyantha Atapattu, who is contesting for the board of Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA), has lodged a complaint with the CID this afternoon alleging that officials of the GMOA had committed a number of corruption and irregularities during the annual election.
Dr. Priyantha has complained that the present officers of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) are still misusing the property of the head office and misleading the members even after the election was declared.
According to the complaint, the present office bearers of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) are committing a number of frauds and corruptions, including the distribution of applications in a way that they get rejected in nominations, the issuance of postal vote applications to deceased and retired members, and the misuse of postal voting etc…
