The government agrees to the request made by the Samagi Jana Balawega to get the necessary information regarding the progress of the negotiations with the creditors of Sri Lanka and the programs of the International Monetary Fund.
Minister of State for Finance Mr. Shehan Semasinghe said that he is ready to provide the necessary facilities for that.
Also, the state minister has informed that the government is ready to provide information that is not sensitive to the financial market.
He emphasized that the government arranged for a discussion with the International Monetary Fund, but even if the opposition missed that opportunity, the government is ready to give another opportunity.
But it should be done with sincere intentions and regardless of which party negotiates separately with the International Monetary Fund, the Minister of State has emphasized that only the government with the majority can present relevant proposals through the Parliament to resolve the differences.
