Party leaders have decided to debate the motion of no confidence against Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena in Parliament on March 19 and 20.
It has also been decided to hold the voting on the evening of the 20th.
The party leaders who met today (14) decided this.
The motion of no confidence was brought by the opposition led by Samagi Jana Balawega, alleging that the Speaker’s actions in passing the Online Act violated the constitution.
