President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa today (05) stated that if vaccination is expedited, there is a possibility of the country being fully open by September.
The President was speaking at the 99th International Cooperative Day celebrations held at the Presidential Secretariat office.
The President also emphasized that if the country is not reopened as soon as possible, the country’s economy will not be able to move forward.
The President said that 09 million vaccines are due to be delivered to Sri Lanka this month.
The President also said that the cooperative movement could play a vital role in providing relief to farmers and consumers.
The President pointed out that the cooperative could make a significant contribution to the success of the government’s Organic Fertilizer and Solar Energy Program.
