A firearm hidden in a cemetery in Millaniya, Ballankudawa has been found today (10) based on the information disclosed by the criminal named ‘Booru Moona’ who is being interrogated under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
A group of officers from the Crime Division of Western Province South Range went there with ‘Booru Moona’.
A 9mm type pistol made in China has been found. This firearm, which can hold 15 rounds of ammunition, had 06 rounds at that time.
Western Province South Range Crime Division states that the firearm was hidden behind the chamber where the dead bodies are kept for burial.
