Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera requests all farmers who have not received the TSP fertilizer or mud fertilizer required for paddy farming to get it before the 10th of April.
The Minister has informed the Department of Agricultural Services to recall the stock of TSP fertilizers in the Agricultural Service Centers to the main warehouses after that date.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera has asked the two government-owned fertilizer companies and the Department of Agricultural Development about the progress of fertilizer distribution today (6) in the morning.
It was revealed that 36,000 metric tons of TSP fertilizers have been distributed to the agricultural service centers.
Accordingly, by the end of yesterday (05), 22,644 metric tons of fertilizers have been distributed among 677,139 farmers, according to the Department of Agricultural Services.
