It has been revealed that the triple murder in Minuwangoda took place according to a Rs. 2 million contract given to the underworld.
It has been found that a Dried fish businessman, who is considered to be the mastermind of this murder, has given the contract to an underworld criminal named Mahesh who is staying in Dubai.
The contractor has been arrested by the Special Task Force. In the face of interrogation, he said that after pawning and selling the gold jewellery in the house, he gave the contract to Mahesh to kill those who killed his son.
The criminal named Mahesh is a member of the underworld operating in Gampaha who has fled to Dubai. It is said that he was accused of robbing a gold jewellery shop in Minuwangoda. Investigations have also revealed that he used his henchmen who were involved in the robbery for this triple murder.
Information has also been revealed that the person who has been identified as the shooter in this triple murder is a fugitive from the Air Force and is addicted to drugs. Information has also been received that the criminal named Lucky is a resident of Akaravita, Gampaha side.
The police believe that this suspect is currently absconding and will be able to arrest him in the near future.
