The Ministry of Energy says that another ship carrying petrol is scheduled to reach Sri Lanka this week.
The Ministry of Energy also says that advance money was paid for the ship.
The full amount is to be paid after the ship reaches the country.
The ship holds between 35,000 and 40,000 metric tons of petrol.
