Bus Associations say that 100% bus service will be operational throughout the island from today.
The associations state that as schools will be held on all five days of the week from today, it will be possible to restore the running of private buses.
Accordingly, nearly 12,000 buses are expected to run.
All government and government approved schools will be open as normal on all five days of the week from today (15).
The Ministry of Education has informed the principals to implement a relief program for the teachers and children who faced some problems due to lack of transportation facilities.
Due to the inconvenience caused due to lack of fuel, the city schools in the Colombo Education Region and other provinces had previously decided to hold only 3 days a week from last June 27.
