The National Audit Office has commenced a special audit on public loans obtained in the country during the past three years.
The Auditor General, Chulantha Wickramaratne stated that this special audit will focus on public loans obtained during the three year period between 2019 and 2021.
He also stated that the special audit report is expected to be presented to Parliament next month.
The Auditor General further stated that more attention will be paid to the methodology of obtaining the relevant loans and the revenue and expenditure situation in the country.
