Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Chi Shenhong has visited Polonnaruwa and met with former President Maithripala Sirisena.
The meeting took place yesterday.
It is said that the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka had told the former President that China would help Sri Lanka as much as possible.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena has explained the current economic situation in the country and has stated that the country will not be able to recover until a new government comes to power.
