Covid restrictions on entering UK to be removed after 18th

The UK government says all remaining COVID traveling regulations will be removed from the 18th of next month, including the passenger placement form and covid tests on arrival for all travelers arriving in the UK.

England’s Secretary of Transport Grant Shapps says anyone arriving in the UK after 4.00 AM on the 18th will no longer have to abide by any of the previous Covid rules.

He tweeted, “These changes are possible due to our vaccine rollout and mean greater freedom in time for Easter”.

This means that for the first time since the outbreak in the spring of 2020, tourists will be able to enter the UK without any restrictions.

At the moment, only those who are fully vaccinated can enter the UK without the need for testing.
