    Bandula Padmakumara is the founding editor of ‘Lakbima Irida Sangrahaya’ which revolutionized national journalism.

    Bandula Padmakumara, who entered the media world with the film magazine ‘Geetha’ in the early seventies, joined the artists’ house in the 80’s as the founding editor of ‘Kumari’, a popular newspaper that won the hearts of young people at that time. Meanwhile, Padmakumara published his own ‘Sarasi’ film newspaper, ‘Sathsara Rajina’ and ‘Photography’ newspaper.

    He joined Sumathi Newspapers as an innovator in journalism and turned the weekend Sinhala journalism upside down as the editor of ‘Lakbima Irida Sangrahaya’.

    ‘Samudura’ newspaper is also an idea of ​​Bandula Padmakumara to make the people of this country aware of the world beyond the Sea.

    Changing his course, Bandula Padmakumara, who move away from journalism in the late 90s, joined the art of reading newspapers to the masses of people by making a revolutionary change from the ‘Mulpituwa’ program of Swarnavahini.

    Bandula Padmakumara, who later served as the Editorial Director and Chairman of Lake House, also launched a tabloid newspaper called ‘Saba’.
