The postmortem examination of the student who died after falling from the seventh floor of an apartment complex in Bambalapitiya has revealed that the student was found to be ingested with a drug called ice.
It has also been confirmed that this student is infected with AIDS.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the student was addicted to ice and narcotics.
Police say the student was seen walking upstairs while checking the security camera system in the apartment building. A senior police official said the student appeared to have jumped to the ground as he noticed no other person was following him or staying upstairs.
The father of this student is a businessman and the mother is a housewife. This student is the only child in the family. He was educated at an international school. Police say that further investigations are being carried out regarding this child and his other friends.
