The National Transport Commission (NTC) says that public transport services on the Central Expressway from Mirigama to Kurunegala which was opened yesterday (15) will be reopened from the 20th of this month.
Accordingly, steps have been taken to initially allow Kandy-Colombo and Colombo-Kurunegala buses.
Meanwhile, with the opening of the section of the Central Expressway from Mirigama to Kurunegala yesterday (15), a gazette notification was issued stating the fares charged for traveling.
However, the Road Development Authority states that no toll has been charged on the vehicles entering the expressway till 12 noon today (16).
