Another 41 Omicron infected people have been found in the country.
Dr. Chandima Jeewandara confirms this.
Dr. Chandima Jeewandara, Head of the Department of Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Jayewardenepura, said that 45 laboratory infections have been confirmed in Sri Lanka so far.
He stressed that people should get the booster vaccine immediately as omicron is spreading rapidly.
“We’ve released 41 new Omicron patient reports from our lab. So far, our lab has confirmed 45 Omicron infections. We are armed. Please use the booster vaccine to protect you and your loved ones!” he said.
