Shenuki Dishalya of Sri Lanka won four gold medals at the Asian Classic – Equipped Bench Press and Powerlifting Championships in Istanbul, Turkey yesterday.
She won the gold medal in that category with the overall championship in the 47 kg weight class.
The Asian Weightlifting Championships will be held in Turkey from December 24 to 30 with the participation of 19 countries.
Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa has also congratulated her.
