Doctors in government hospitals in five districts have decided to go on a 24-hour token strike tomorrow (20).
The strike is active in Mannar, Trincomalee, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura, and Polonnaruwa districts.
The Government Medical Officers’ Association states that they will go on strike from 08.00 am tomorrow (20).
The strike was triggered by the transfer of interns.
The Government Medical Officers’ Association stated that despite the strike, emergency medical services are still operational.
