Prime Minister Jacinda Arden has announced today that she will lock down New Zealand.
That was after the discovery of a new case of COVID-19 in Auckland, the largest city. The lock-in is in effect for seven days in Auckland. But in other areas it is active for three days.
Although not yet confirmed, Ardern said authorities are assuming the newly infected person has Delta strain.
