Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister Yoshitha Rajapaksa has stated that he completely rejects the false propaganda that he was planning to invade the gas market as the reason for the gas shortage that has been prevailing in the country for several weeks.
Mr. Yoshitha Rajapaksa points out that he does not own a gas company and that the aim of the news makers is to erode the trust between the public and the government.
He says that some people are trying to deceive the people again by using attractive headlines such as “A gas company from Yoshitha – the numbing story of the gas crisis” and reclaiming the stories like that there are golden horses again, to break the trust of people to the government.
Mr. Yoshitha Rajapaksa points out that it is essential to work together to overcome some of the crises facing the country in the face of the COVID epidemic.
