The Secretary of Education has issued a new circular stating that teachers should be on duty from home.
Education Secretary Prof. Kapila Perera had earlier issued a circular stating that all teachers should come to schools.
Subsequently, another circular was issued stating that if teachers did not attend school, they would have to make up for the absence of teachers from their private holidays.
But later circulars were issued again stating that teachers should be on duty from home.
The latest circular states that students should be taught online from home and to do other non academic work through alternative methods.
