The virus concentration in people infected with the Delta strain is 1000 times higher than in those infected with the original corona virus, a recent study found.
The study also found that delta infections produce more virus particles than previous infections, making it much easier for the virus to spread.
The discovery was made by a team of researchers at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Guangdong, China, and the research is still in its infancy level.
Accordingly, it has been found that the concentration of the virus, which is a measure of the density of virus particles in the body, is approximately 1,000 times higher than the original corona virus infection in people infected with the Delta type.
According to current estimates, the Delta variant can transmit twice fast as the original strain of the virus that causes COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2.
First identified in India in late 2020, it has now become the world’s leading epidemic and has spread to at least 111 countries.
The team observed 62 quarantined individuals after COVID-19 exposure and tested their virus concentrations daily throughout the infection period to see how it changed over time.
The researchers compared the infection patterns of participants with 63 individuals who contracted the original SARS-CoV-2 disease in 2020.
