President Ranil Wickramasinghe says that government employees will get some economic relief after Thai Pongal celebration this year.
He says that he is well aware that all people have economic difficulties.
The President also mentioned that with the stabilization of the country’s economy, economic relief will be provided to all the people.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe further stated that all necessary steps have been taken to strengthen the economy in the next four quarters.
The President also recalled that all the bills that had to be paid due to the economic reform last year have been paid by now.
The President also disclosed that the economic growth rate will be increased to 3% by the end of this year and it is planned to increase it to 5% in 2025.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe mentioned this while attending the special coordination committee meeting of Jaffna and Kilinochchi districts held yesterday (04) at the Jaffna District Secretariat.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe also instructed the Northern Province government officials to complete all the resettlement of the displaced people by 2025.
