    19th Asian Games Conclude in Hangzhou

    The 19th Asian Games came to a grand close with a spectacular closing ceremony held at the Olympic Sports Center in Hangzhou, China. The event’s conclusion was officially announced by Mr. Raja Randhir Singh, the Acting President of the Olympic Council of Asia.

    During a special press conference held by the Asian Olympic Council and the organizing committee of the Hangzhou Asian Games, it was revealed that this year’s games witnessed extraordinary achievements. Athletes set 15 world records, 37 Asian records, and an impressive 170 Asian Games records.

    China emerged as the leading nation in the medal tally, securing a total of 383 medals, including 201 gold, 111 silver, and 71 bronze medals. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka showcased remarkable talent, earning one gold medal, one silver, and two bronze medals, with notable achievements in athletics and women’s cricket. Sri Lanka’s total medal count for the Games stands at 5, reflecting the nation’s prowess and determination on the international stage.
