A baby elephant between the ages of 08 and 12 roaming Habarana Asirigama has been killed and its tusks were cut off and separated by some person.
The body of the baby elephant was found in front of Ambagaswewa Lake in Hurulu Reserve.
The Ritigala Wildlife Office has started an investigation into this. Officials of the Wildlife Office have also complained about this to the Habarana Police.
