The three children of Wennappuwa who went missing were found in Ambalangoda

Wennappuwa Police stated that the three children, aged 15 and 14, who have been missing since the day of New Year, were found today while staying at the house of one of the children’s fathers in the Galagoda area of Ambalangoda.

The police say that these three children boarded a bus from Dummaladeniya and came to Colombo and, from there, went to Ambalangoda.

Among the missing children were two 15-year-old children and one 14-year-old child. The children were found at the 14-year-old’s father’s house.

The police say that the child’s mother has remarried and is working in a coir mill in Wennappuwa, and the father lives in Ambalangoda.

The police say that the mother of one of the other two children died of cancer 8 months ago, and the father is working as a mason.

The police say that the other child’s father is paralyzed. The police say that the mother has escaped with another person, and the child is being brought up under the grandmother’s care.

The police also said that the three children had decided to run away from home due to a punishment given by the grandmother to the child whose father was paralyzed for returning home late after seeing a musical show on the 13th. The police say that the other two friends also went to Ambalangoda.

These three children were brought to Wennappuwa Police Station this evening.
