    Here’s what happened to ‘Sakunthalaya’

The production board of the stage play “Sakunthalaya,” which was to be staged yesterday (16) at the Borella Namel Malini Punchi Theater, has been forced to postpone the performance of the play indefinitely due to the fact that a bag containing the actors and actresses’ costumes and accessories has been stolen.

This theft took place on the 15th around 3.30 pm while the drama “Oedipus” was being staged at Namel Malini Punchi Theater.

In this regard, the producers of the play have filed a complaint with the Borella Police.

When examining the security camera footage of the Namel Malini Punchi Theater and nearby shops, it was seen that a person was carrying a bag containing clothes and theater equipment.

The person had traveled with the bag from Namel Malini Punchi Theater towards Rajagiriya along the main road and walked a little further towards Wanathamulla.

The Borella Police have also found that he had moved towards the Sahasapura housing complex along the Borella Serpentine apartment complex.

The police suspect that the person who stole this bag is probably a drug addict.
