Mr. Mahinda Deshapriya, the former chairman of the Election Commission, has been appointed as the chairman of the National Committee for Delimitation of Divisions for Local Authorities.
This special gazette announcement has been issued with the signature of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena. other members of the committee are Jayalath R. V. Dissanayake, W. M. M. R. Adhikari, K. Thawalingam and I. A. Hameed.
This committee has been in operation since November 01 and it has been appointed to operate until February 28, 2023.
