President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has stated that he has not influenced any individual or institution regarding the handing over of the proposed wind power project in Mannar.
The President also emphasized that he strongly rejects the statement made by the Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board at the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises.
The policy of Sri Lanka is to assign every project in a very transparent and responsible manner and in a proper manner.
Although special attention will be paid to large-scale renewable energy projects at a time when Sri Lanka is in dire need of electricity, the President will implement the policy in a transparent manner in line with government policies in selecting projects for them.
