    A JVP Municipal Council member arrested for setting fire to former Minister Janaka’s house

    Dambulla Police have arrested a member of the Dambulla Municipal Council of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) on suspicion of setting fire to the house of former Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon in Dambulla.

    Police say that the fire broke out on the 9th. A senior police official said that a number of suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident and that the JVP MP was sneaking on the police.

    Police was searching for him when he was arrested after surrendering to the police yesterday and is due to be produced before the Dambulla Magistrate’s Court today.

      Well there a good & the bad.
      Bad is it should have never happened.
      The good is the aftermath exposed the existence of an organisation who were ready to topple the Govt through violent means at short notice. The country experienced it in 88/89 over a period of time.This time it was spontaneous.
      Moreover, the US Embassy tweet had a friendly acknowledgement a certain party was Communist & Capitalists, blowing hot & cold with the same breath.
      Now a suspicion has risen whether they & GotagoHomeGama persons are a CATs Paw of Uncle Sam n what danger holds for the sovereignty of the Country.
      Are our politicians too are hand in glove & moreover KAPUTA is an Agent of the big West?
