Leader of the All Ceylon People’s Congress Rishad Bathiudeen says that his party will support the 21st Amendment.
He told a news conference that he would support the 21st Amendment as it is based on the 19th Amendment.
Meanwhile, the All Ceylon People’s Congress (ACPC) has decided to take disciplinary action against three members.
It is against acting against the decisions of the party.
Accordingly, disciplinary action has been taken against Anuradhapura district MP Ishaq Rahuman, Puttalam district MP Ali Sabri Rahim and Digamadulla MP Musharraf.
Earlier, the three had been asked the reasons for their actions and the party had taken the decision unanimously as the explanations were not sufficient, said Rishad Bathiudeen.
Ishaq Rahuman and S. M. M. Musharraf who supported the government, has said that they will become independent in parliament.
But then S. M. M. Musharraf has been sworn in as the new Minister of State for Textiles and Local Apparel Production Promotion.
