New Finance Minister Ali Sabri has resigned.
It is said that he has sent the letter to the President.
The letter further states that he intends to resign from the post of Member of Parliament if a suitable candidate is appointed.
Ali Sabri was the National List Member of Parliament for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
