    Sri Lankans are slightly happier than 03 years before, says a world Report

    Sri Lanka is ranked 126th in the 2022 World Happiness Report.

    Sri Lanka remained No. 129 in the World Happiness Report 2018-2020 for three years.

    However, according to these reports, Sri Lanka is also among the 20 most unhappy countries in the world.

    For the fourth year in a row, Finland topped the list with the highest total of 7.842 points.

    The next happiest countries in the world are Denmark (7.620), Switzerland (7.571), Iceland (7.554), the Netherlands (7.464), Norway (7.392), and Sweden (7.363).

    Afghanistan is the most miserable state in the world.

    This year is the 10th anniversary of the World Happiness Report, which was launched in 2002.

    The World Happiness Report uses statistical analysis to determine the happiest countries in the world.

    World Happiness Report is a publication of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network powered by the Gallup World Poll.

    To this end, the researchers analyzed data from the Gallup World poll in 149 countries extensively and observed happiness through six specific categories.

    Gallup World Poll is the world’s largest survey about countries.

    It considers per capita GDP, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make one’s own choices of life, the generosity of ordinary people, and their understanding of levels of internal and external corruption.
