Even though schools will be started tomorrow, vans and buses used to transport children are unable to run due to lack of diesel, said Mal Sri de Silva, President of the All Ceylon School Children’s Transport Association.
Despite requests from the government to provide diesel through SLTB depots, no solution has been found, said Mal Sri de Silva.
Therefore, it is not possible to transport school children and many school buses and vans will not be operated tomorrow, he said.
