The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) says that power outages will continue in several parts of the island today due to a breakdown at the Norochcholai power plant.
According to the Board, a 30 minute power cut can be expected in some parts of the country after 6 pm today.
Although the Minister of Power and Energy recently assured that there will be no further power cuts as the Norochcholai power plant has been fully restored, there were power cuts in some parts of the country yesterday.
The Ministry of Power and Energy stated that there will be a 30 minute power outage in several areas from 6 pm to 9:30 pm today.
