The Ceylon Electricity Board says that due to the prevailing weather conditions with heavy rains, strong winds and lightning, power outages across the country have increased.
As a result of this, the telephone numbers of CEB to inform about power outages are constantly busy, so the Ceylon Electricity Board informs that the other measures introduced for the same be followed.
The board says that the weather conditions are hindering the continuity of the electricity supply due to falling trees, lightning strikes, etc., blocking the electricity supply lines.
