The income earned by Sri Lanka Customs in the last month has exceeded 109 billion rupees.
According to the Director of Customs, Mr. Seevali Arukgoda, this is the highest revenue ever earned by the Customs in a month.
He also said that streamlining and making the tax collection process more efficient is the main reason for increasing the revenue.
This year, the total customs revenue is expected to exceed 925 billion rupees.
