The National Congress led by Member of Parliament Mr. ALM Ataullah has come together to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
A group of its representatives including Mr. ALM Ataullah met President Ranil Wickramasinghe yesterday (14) and officially informed about this.
Mr. ALM Ataullah pointed out that it is essential to solve the economic and political problems in the country in order to solve the ethnic problem in the country. He said that he has faith in the program implemented by President Ranil Wickramasinghe and therefore he is committed to ensuring the victory of the President in the upcoming presidential election.
A proposal containing the views of the National Congress related to solving the ethnic problem in Sri Lanka was also presented to the President.
Also, the Deshapremi Jana Balawegaya party also declares that it is dedicated to confirm the victory of President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
A delegation including the General Secretary of the party Mr. Sugath Hewapathirana met the President Ranil Wickramasinghe and informed about this.
Mr. Sugath Hewapathirana pointed out that he appreciates the program implemented by the President in the last two years to establish the broken economy, law and order in this country, and that the President’s leadership is needed to move the country forward from now on.
Accordingly, he further stated that in the upcoming presidential election, his party’s affiliated organizations and the entire membership will work together to confirm the victory of President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
