Obtaining medical records is compulsory for drivers in SLTB

It has been made compulsory for employees aged 40 years and above working in the Sri Lanka Transport Board to obtain medical records.

It is reported that this step has been taken after the recent incident of a bus driver who suffered a heart attack while driving a bus.

Accordingly, all employees above the age of 40 are required to provide medical reports every four months.

The authority says that all drivers will be notified of this requirement.
