The General Commissioner of Railways has issued a final announcement saying that all Station Masters and Train Controllers who do not report to work today (10) will be considered as having left the service.
He had previously made an announcement asking the Sri Lanka Railways to report to the service regarding the strike being carried out even though it had been declared an essential service.
The final announcement issued today states that all station masters and train controllers should report to the concerned railway station or the nearest railway station before 12.00 noon on 10.07.2024.
