Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramaniam, Regional Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, says that the sacrifices made by the people of Sri Lanka are appreciated.
He has appreciated this commitment of the Sri Lankan people to make the economic reforms successful when he met with the Minister of State for Finance Mr. Ranjith Siambalapitiya.
Mr. Subramaniam, who expressed his happiness regarding the economic progress achieved by Sri Lanka in the last year, said that Bangladesh and other countries are inquiring about Sri Lanka’s rapid rise.
Matters have been discussed here, especially regarding the digitization of the tax system.
Here, the Minister of State has mentioned that the support given to Sri Lanka by the International Monetary Fund is not only economic, but it has led to the reconfirmation of confidence in Sri Lanka in the eyes of the world.
