Milk Powder Importers Association says that the price of imported milk powder will be increased from next week.
Accordingly, the price of a 400 gram packet of imported milk powder has increased by 30 rupees.
The association said that a 1 kg packet of imported milk powder will be increased by 75 rupees.
The union stated that the price of imported milk powder had to be increased as the government has taken steps to increase the VAT tax from 15% to 18%.
