Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera, the Minister of Power and Energy, said that the Sinopec Company, which has started importing fuel from China and selling in Sri Lanka, has confirmed that they will start their operations all over the island by the end of September.
The Minister held a discussion with officials of Sinopec Fuel and Refinery Operations at the Ministry of Power and Energy this morning (03).
The Minister said that the discussion focused on the progress of retail operations, signing of agreements with dealers, branding and commencement of island-wide operations.
