Sources disclosed that the approval of the Cabinet has been received today to retain the Inspector General of Police C. D. Wickramaratne who retired from the police service on the 25th after reaching the age of 60 for another 03 months.
Accordingly, from tomorrow Mr. C. D. Wickramaratne will again be working as Inspector General of Police for a period of three months.
Due to the retirement of Mr. C. D. Wickramaratne, there was no Acting IGP in the police service yesterday and today.
From tomorrow, Mr. C. D. Wickramaratne will be working at the Inspector General’s Office as usual.
