Minister of State for Finance Shehan Semasinghe says that all the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund are moving towards a successful conclusion.
The State Minister also said that the country will receive the first loan amount of 300 million US dollars from the International Monetary Fund’s extended credit facility at the end of this month.
The entire credit facility is to be received in 04 years.
Commenting on the progress of the International Monetary Fund program in Anuradhapura today (19), he said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe was in direct contact with the International Monetary Fund and took all necessary measures to get its support.
The Minister of State thanked the public for supporting the International Monetary Fund program by facing the challenges in view of the difficult reforms that have been carried out in the country.
